This page brings together the films that I recommend to all those who have not watched them ... to watch them! Please note, the list does not include a predetermined order and is not exhaustive. Thank you!
"Mr Smith goes to Washington" is a very beautiful film by Frank Capra. I strongly recommend you to see it because it tells a very strong realistic story, like many films by this filmmaker. Yet very simple cinematographic technique, Capra managed to to make his film a Masterpiece.
"Jefferson Smith is well loved by the Boys Rangers, a youth club he runs. This popular and naive man is a deal for Governor Hopper and his political leader Jim Taylor, who make him an ideal senator to cover their dark stories . Mr. Smith quickly becomes the laughingstock of Congress and is, in spite of himself, compromised in a shady business. After a moment of discouragement and thanks to his secretary, he speaks in the Senate and keeps it for twenty-three hours! "

"The Modern Times" is a Charlie Chaplin's film denouncing the difficulties of the working world at this time. This subject being however serious, Chaplin succeeded in a spectacular way to make it funny. Chaplin is one of the first great Masters of Cinema. I highly recommend this film if you have not already seen it. It is also possible that other Chaplin films will appear later on this page !!!

"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is a film released on March 8, 1968, 3 hours long. Originally, it was to last 5 but production flatly refused. At the start, this film was to last a maximum of 2 hours! Its duration has been reduced "to boost sales of popcorn," said the Italian director Sergio Leone, who imagined this film by collaborating with one of the greatest composers of film music; Ennio Morricone. The combination of beautiful images on the screen, sublime music, and an absolutely magnificent western story, make this film a masterpiece more than worthy of appearing on this page!
"During the American Civil War, three men, preferring to be interested in their personal profit, set out in search of a chest containing 200,000 dollars in gold coins stolen from the southern army. Tuco knows that the treasure is found in a cemetery, while Joe knows the name written on the tombstone that serves as a cache. Everyone needs the other. But a third man enters the race: Setenza, a brute who does not hesitate to massacre women and children to achieve their ends. "

"The Man Who Knew To Much" is a film directed by ... Alfred Hitchcock, released in theaters on October 5, 1956. Finally a good Hitchcock on this page! This 2h00 feature film is in fact the remake of a film that this director had created a few years before. So he reworked the script a bit and started shooting again, this time with actors of great renown at the time: James Stewart, Doris Day and Brenda De Banzie. This thriller is made up of more stressful shots than each other, and it is one of the best thrillers that exist. Normal, you will tell me, When it comes to Hitchcock ...!
